Due to school vacations and some problems with emails not reaching parents, we are extending the registration period for this event. Registration will now close on April 10th, and full payment will be due by April 17th.
USAGSO-Singapore will be holding a Pirate Fairy Day Camp during the afternoon and evening of Saturday April 25, 2015! This event is specifically designed to provide a camp experience for Daisy and Brownie Scouts who are not quite old enough to participate in Overnight Camp.
It will feature lots of fun "Pirate Fairy"-themed outdoor activities during the afternoon followed by a BBQ dinner and campfire after dark. Bus transportation will be provided to and from the camp venue for all Girl Scouts and Adult Volunteers. This event will be held Rain or Shine; however we reserve the right to cancel in the event of dangerous weather.
Day Camp Information Email
Full details on the Pirate Fairy Day Camp venue, activities, bus transportation, information contacts, permission slip and other important information will be emailed directly to all Daisy/Brownie parents no later than 14-Mar-2015. If you do not receive the Pirate Fairy Day Camp email by 15-Mar-2105, please contact usagsosgwebmaster@gmail.com.
Parent Participation As always, we need a lot of parents to help supervise the activities and large number of young children that will participate in this event. There are a wide variety of Volunteer Assignments available; you will be busy and you will not be bored! Please note, as an Adult Volunteer you will be responsible for specific activities, but you WILL NOT stay with your child throughout the entire event.
We must have a minimum of 1 Adult Volunteer for every 4 girls attending camp, otherwise we are not allowed to hold this event. Each Troop is responsible for providing the appropriate ratio of Adult Volunteers for their girls so we can meet the overall ratio.
That said, Day Camp is an opportunity for younger Girl Scouts to experience teamwork and personal responsibility in a safe and controlled environment. Therefore, parents without a Volunteer Assignment may not attend this event.
Registration & Fees
The registration fee is $75; this covers the cost of bus transportation, snacks & dinner, and all activities and crafts. In addition, every registered Girl Scout will receive a gift bag, an event patch and a personalized Pirate Fairy Day Camp T-Shirt. Please see the T-Shirt Sizing Guide to ensure you select the right size on the registration form.
Registration will close on 10-Apr-2015 and no new registrations will be accepted after that date. Full payment is due no later than 17-Apr-2105; all unpaid registrations after that date will be cancelled without notice. Unfortunately we cannot provide refunds for unused registrations, so please check your schedule carefully before registering. To inquire about financial aid, please contact singaporeocc@yahoo.com.
