| Second Chance Supplies is a USAGSO-Singapore program that takes gently used school supplies leftover from the just-completed school year at the Singapore American School (SAS) and sorts and distributes them to charitable organizations in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Originally created by a Girl Scout in Singapore for her Gold Award project, this program relies on everyone and anyone who can to pitch in and help sort supplies for distribution.
Please come and help us on Sorting Day! Lots of hands make the work go faster! You can attend as a Troop or family, and siblings are welcome to help (with a parent). There are jobs for kids of all ages, from testing markers to sorting and packing items for the various charities. This year's Sorting will take place on Monday, June 6th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Singapore American School, Kindergarten Work Room P114 (right near Elementary Office A). Permission slips required for all Girl Scouts to participate; none required for family members. If you have any questions, please contact the organizers:

USA Girl Scouts Overseas is sponsoring a FREE webinar hosted by Tina Quick, international expert on Third Culture Kids. Tina will address the inevitable challenge faced by many international or expat families—going “home”.
Navigating Repatriation
Tuesday, June 7th 7:00-8:00 PM SGT
Repatriation can be up to three times more difficult than moving to a whole new country! In partnership with Third Culture Kid (TCK) expert and author Tina Quick, this webinar will explore the challenges families face in this transition back “home” and why. Special emphasis will be placed on how children are impacted by their globally mobile childhoods and what happens when they step out of the third culture (expatriate culture) and return home. This webinar is a must-view for all families facing global mobility and repatriation now or in the future. Spread the word, invite a friend, and join us on June 7th!

We received a bunch of great designs this year for the 2016-17 USAGSO-Singapore T-shirt logo. Thanks to every Girl Scout who submitted one; it was actually quite difficult to select the finalists.
But now we need our GIRL SCOUTS vote to choose the winner*! Please have your Girl Scout(s) take a look at the original designs from the four finalists, and submit their choice. Votes are completely anonymous, but only one vote per Girl Scout please!
* Note: The winning design may be modified for final printing, including changes in line thickness, wording and spelling.

Girl Scouts in Singapore would simply not function without the many tireless hours spent by parent volunteers. And every year we take the opportunity to thank our amazing leaders and volunteers at the Closing Ceremony, so we need YOUR nominations.
This is an opportunity for all parents (and Girl Scouts) to give thanks for the hard work and dedication of our leaders and adult volunteers. There are three recognition categories and you may nominate as many people as you like in any category:
- Outstanding Leader (for Troop Leaders)
- Great Adult Volunteer (for Non-leaders)
- Green Knight (for Fantastic Male Volunteers)
** Nominations must be submitted no later than 13-May-2016. |

The March Overnight Camp Weekend is always one of our biggest (and most popular) events of the year. With that in mind, we are always looking for ways to make it better every year.
If your daughter attended Overnight Camp and/or you were parent volunteer, we would really like to get feedback from both of you on how it went. We've created a short survey that will take no more than 3-4 minutes to complete with your daughter's help.
