Here's the opportunity for Girl Scouts to take part in a Singapore tradition - Dragon Boating! Girls will suit up in life jackets, get professional paddling & safety instruction from the American Dragons, then board a real Dragon Boat to go paddle in Marina Bay. Girls must know how to swim, and Daisies can ride (not paddle) for free! Families are welcome to come watch and we will have a potluck picnic on the shore.
There will be two 1-hour sessions which includes all instruction & paddling. Space is limited so sign up soon!
When: November 13th, 2016
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Where: Kallang Riverside Park, near Sports Hub (map)
Cost: $45 (bring cash to event)
IMPORTANT INFO:
- This is NOT a drop-off event; parents must be present for girls to participate.
- A signed permission slip and waiver form (at right) are REQUIRED.
- Please bring $2 to purchase the limited edition Dragon Boating patch for your daughter's vest.
- Bring blankets or chairs and food to share as we will have a potluck meal on shore.
- Only participating Girl Scouts will be allowed in the boats on the water.
- Life vests will be provided for all girls to wear, but girls must know how to swim.
