In the Fall of 2014, Troop 82 worked on it’s Flower Garden Journey. What a cool thing to do in Singapore! They started by visiting Sentosa’s Butterfly and Insect Kingdom where the girls got a look at some really cool creatures! They had a meeting with some urban gardeners who taught them everything about beekeeping, and got to make lip gloss out of beeswax. For their service project, they visited the organic farm at Bollywood Veggies where they learned about growing vegetables and tropical plants. And, they planted banana trees; far harder work than the girls imagined!
Participating in USA Girl Scouts in Singapore provided the Daisy scouts of Troop 82 some unique experiences on their journey that are difficult, if not impossible to have anywhere else. Congratulations girls! |
